Dihydrotestosterone

Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is a powerful androgen produced from testosterone through the action of 5-alpha-reductase. A deficiency in 5-alpha-reductase leads to males with incomplete virilization, appearing phenotypically female. This condition is indicated by a high testosterone to DHT ratio.
